I began blogging during my last year as a caregiver for my father who suffered from Alzheimer's. That was lifefromtheporch. So this blog is about my life after caregiving.

Peacock
Kind of surprising Oklahoma bird at my lawyer's office.
..and they sound like little lost kittens. I spent a few minutes looking for the kitten once and it turned out to be a peacock. They are sooo beautiful though.

Oh come on now. You didn't stick around and wait for him to fan his feathers? :)

Lost kittens?? The last time I heard a peacock make a sound it was a shrill scream, like a lady in a room with a mouse! They sure are pretty though!
I think they sound like a woman screaming with a piercing, sad cry.
My guess is that some escaped from the Oklahoma City Zoo. There are quite a few of them in this area and not terribly far from the zoo location.
Thanks for the link Nancy.
Those birds are so pretty. I think they only fan their feathers when they are trying to be cool or turn on the lady birds though.
yea, they are pretty, but they are messy and noisy. only thing noisier is a guinea foul -- I think.
